The three story 65,850 sf. facility was completed in 2008 and is occupied by the School of Nursing and Campus Health Services for TTU. The building's program includes a 300 seat auditorium, tiered lecture halls, classrooms and teaching labs (a foundations lab, a critical care lab and a pediatrics ob/gyn lab) that were designed around the latest simulation manikins to be used for instruction purposes. The design was developed around a central rotunda space which features a collection of materials and forms that combine to establish the first impression of the building. The lower level of the building is isolated from the School of Nursing and serves as the new location for campus wide health services. A seperate entrance and parking was provided along Mahler Avenue for easy accessibility to students.

The Nursing and Health Sciences Building anchors the south end of the campus quad and it's Georgian architectural style compliments the existing context of the campus. The design also features an internal courtyard which provides the opportunity for views and daylighting into the spaces along with the ability to accomodate event overflow from the auditorium.

This project was a joint venture collaboration with Bauer Askew Architecture PLLC.
