The Jackson County Health Deparment is a 7,430 square feet building that is replacing an undersized, existing facility. All the existing facility's functions will move to the new building. The site was partially an existing parking lot which some of the site remained. This minimized site construction costs as well as utilized an unused part of the town. Some additional infill was required to level the footprint of the building as well as tie the health department's parking into an existing, adjacent church. The Health Department building consists of clinic rooms and offices around a central medical records storage area. Auxiliary and office spaces are separated from patients for both security and ease of circulation. Custom casework was designed in the registration area to fit the Owner's specific needs for both utility and aesthetics.
